We’re not firefighters. But we do put out a lot of IT fires.
Sometimes we get called in when things are already on fire.
Servers down, ransomware in play, backups that don’t actually back anything up.
But the real magic happens before the fire starts.
It’s not flashy. It’s not dramatic. But it’s what keeps your business running smoothly and securely.
If your IT strategy is more “hope for the best” than “plan for the worst,” it might be time for a chat.
We have grabbed five minutes with our General Manager Hayley.
RJC - Hayley, what’s something most businesses don’t realise about MSPs?
Hayley - That we can do so much more than just fix things when they break. We’re like the IT version of preventative healthcare—especially when it comes to infrastructure and security.
RJC - Got an example?
Hayley - We recently took on a client whose setup had more holes than a block of Swiss cheese. They’d received bad advice, and their security was full of gaps—no MFA, shared accounts, no proper backups, no Cyber Essentials. It was a bit of a mess.
RJC - What did your team do?
Hayley - We got stuck in, sorted the issues, and helped them get Cyber Essentials certified. Now they’ve got a solid foundation and a lot more peace of mind.
RJC - If you could give one piece of advice to a business leader reviewing their IT strategy, what would it be?
Hayley - Cyber-attacks are a real threat, and it’s not just the big companies you see in the news being targeted, over 40% of UK business experienced a form of security breach or hack in the last year.
If you haven’t reviewed your IT setup in a while, now’s the time. Even a quick chat with a good MSP (👋) can uncover risks you didn’t know were there.
