What’s the difference between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus?
As Cyber Essentials can be completed as a self assessment, it can result in information being given to the assessor which is incorrect, due to this, Cyber Essentials Plus gives you deeper peace of mind, as it includes an independent technical assessment of your systems. This is ideal for organisations handling sensitive data or operating in regulated sectors.
Cyber Essential Certification
At RJ Cortel, we are a registered Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Certification Body, this means we can process your application for both of the certifications.
Cyber Essentials is a self assessment, which you can purchase from us below. You will then be provided with access to our Cyber Essentials portal, allowing you to view and upload your answers to the technical questions.
We also provide ongoing consultation services to help you understand the questions, and how to implement the controls if required.
Cyber Essential Plus Certification
Once you have your Cyber Essentials Certification, you can move onto Cyber Essentials Plus.
Cyber Essentials Plus is a technical review and audit of the controls you have in place, this provides you with assurance, from a certified certification body that what you have stated within your Cyber Essentials certification, is accurate and in place as it has been verified by a third party such as ourselves.
RJ Cortel provide you with unlimited AVS scanning on all of your devices to help you find any potential vulnerabilities and remediate these prior to undergoing the technical audit.
We also have services available to provide you with ongoing scanning, to help you speed up your re-certification the next year and also keep your devices and services secure and complaint.
Cyber Consultation
Whether you are new to Cyber Essentials and require a full run down of the certification scheme, its benefits and how to implement, or if you already have an IT Company who need to implement the controls, RJ Cortel can assist and consult with you on how your business can meet the required standards.
Our packages are available as a single hour, 3 hours or 5 hours and can be rendered either over the phone or via a remote meeting.
